Studying God’s Word is one of the most important things we can do as Christian women—but sometimes it’s so much easier when we’re doing it together.

That’s why I love Good Morning Girls in the Word. We read Scripture, slow down, listen for what God is teaching us, and encourage one another along the way.

I’ve been leading Good Morning Girls studies for years, and I’d love for you to join us!

What Is Good Morning Girls in the Word?

Good Morning Girls in the Word is a simple way for women to get into God’s Word consistently and study Scripture together.

The studies are based on the Good Morning Girls in the Word method developed by Courtney Joseph of Women Living Well. We follow her Bible studies when they are available, and during breaks, we sometimes work through an additional study together.

The goal isn’t to see how much we can accomplish.

It’s simply to open God’s Word, study it faithfully, and grow together.

I’m constantly reading and learning, mostly nutrition and the Bible, with safe fiction to give my brain a break. I have taken up crocheting again this year after not having touched it for about four years. I’m looking to teach myself knitting this year. I used to roller skate before my friend’s rink closed. I currently drive a school bus and sometimes teach driver’s ed. I previously drove a semi before I started my family. Currently, ongoing familiarity with dementia with our moms. My husband’s mom passed last July from dementia, and my mom is following the same path.

Hi! I am a missionary living in Croatia but originally from the Pacific Northwest. I hold an Associate of Practical Theology from Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, TX, and a minor in both Music and Worship and the Arts. At my church, I teach a discipleship class, teach catechism to our school-aged children, and have taught at our women’s conferences. I am passionate about coaching women in their walk with the Lord and daily quiet times.

is a creative and determined woman who finds purpose in serving others and spending time in God’s Word. Despite living with significant health and mobility challenges, she continues to find ways to enjoy life, including wheelchair trips to the park with her beloved companion, Jimmy, and recently fulfilling a long-held dream of visiting a sunflower field. Creating Scripture verses each month has become a meaningful way for her to use her creativity and contribute something beautiful to others. She is also working toward greater independence by growing a garden and learning creative ways to prepare healthy, gluten-free, vegetarian foods. Her perseverance, creativity, and desire to keep growing make her a beautiful part of our Bible study community.


What Can I Expect?

1. We read Scripture.
Each study takes us through a portion of God’s Word.

2. We study it together.
We use the Good Morning Girls SOAP-style approach to slow down and interact with Scripture.

3. We share what God is teaching us.
Depending on the group, women can participate through discussion, comments, messages, or email.

4. We encourage one another.
This isn’t about having perfect Bible study habits. We’re simply women helping one another stay in God’s Word.

What Happens When Good Morning Girls Is on a Break?

When Courtney’s Good Morning Girls studies are on a break, we don’t always stop studying.

Sometimes I’ll lead an additional Scripture-writing challenge or Bible study so we can continue spending time in God’s Word together.

That means the group can remain active even when there isn’t a current GMG study.

What You’ll Need

You don’t need anything fancy to begin studying the Bible each day. A few simple tools are enough:

Do I need to have participated in Good Morning Girls before?

No! You can join us even if you’re completely new to Good Morning Girls.

Do I have to be a Bible study expert?

Absolutely not. We’re all learning and growing together.

Do I have to participate every day?

Life happens. Our goal is consistency, not perfection. Join in as you’re able.

Which group should I join?

Choose whichever platform you use most comfortably. The study itself is the same; the main difference is how we communicate with one another.

What happens when a study ends?

We’ll let you know what we’re studying next. During GMG breaks, we may do an additional study or Scripture-writing challenge together.
