Here are 100 reasons why I love my husband. Can you think of 100 reasons why you love your husband? It's a good practice for your marriage! #alittlerandr #marriage #marriagegoals #love

I was encouraged by Valencia at Buildeth Her House to write this list and link up on her blog.  I thought it was such a great idea, in light of the current trend of husband and man bashing.

I started, thinking “sure!  I can come up with 100 things, no problem” but as I got into it I found it difficult to come up with 100 different things to say – and this post sat in my drafts for months.

However, I decided to finish as a way of honoring Zlatko on his birthday.  And by the time I got to #100 I was thinking, “Already?  I have more things I’d like to say!”

I’d like to encourage every wife to do this.  So often we see faults, shortcomings, and are frustrated when he forgets to take out the garbage again!   We forget all those reasons why we married him in the first place – and sometimes grow lazy in digging down deep to find new reasons to love and appreciate him.  Sometimes there are right there in front of our face, but we overlooked them in our busy-ness.

So, Zlatko – this is for you.  100 reasons why I love, honor, and cherish you.  And I wouldn’t be surprised if this post finds a sequel!

  5. Well, now I love your husband too!  LOL  This is a wonderful idea and you did well, Roz!  And you got yourself a keeper!  There is a lot of man bashing going on in our culture and this is refreshing.  It’s hard to be a man, a husband, and a father.  There’s so much heavy responsibility!  And all men really ask for is gratitude and respect.  Good job, Roz!

  9. Thank you for sharing this, its a good reminder that we need to focus on the positive things about our husband. It is so easy to get caught up with the things he does not do or we do not like about him. Will definitely write a list for my husband 🙂

    1. This really makes me sad. I think sometimes in marriage we get so focused on each others faults and idiosyncrasies that we can’t see the good in each other. I think its good to sit down and make these lists regularly…make them really long to challenge us to dig deep.
