With the recent events unfolding in the Ukraine, and threatening to spill over to Asia and the Middle East, I feel an urgency to once again look at Biblical prophecy.

Jesus did say that times like this would come….just before He comes to take His bride home with Him.

Yes, I know, ever generation has thought that Christ would come again in their lifetime. Why would it be any different for us?

Well, that is because the stage is set, prophecies are being fulfilled, the earth is groaning with the birth pangs – which are ever more severe and closer in occurrence.

The question is, are we ready? Are we focused on Him?

There are so many things every day that seek to distract us; traps the enemy sets to keep our thoughts and hearts engaged anywhere but on Christ.

Our careers, our kids, our things, our money…..social media, for sure!

But, if we don’t resist the temptation to be distracted, we won’t be ready when Christ comes again. We’ll be like the 5 foolish virgins who were left unprepared for the bridegroom who came while they were away buying oil for their lamps.

I don’t know about you, but it’s not enough for me just to know Jesus is returning. I want to know what the Bible has to say about the events leading up to it.

And that grand event – and all that happens after!

And I believe God wants us to know that, too. In fact, I believe He expects us to know it. Why else would he have put it in the Bible?

Why else would the book of Revelation start out with a blessing that can only be found in that book that reads, “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” Revelation 1:3

That is why I will be leading a chapter-by-chapter study of the book of Revelation.

Now, to be clear – this is not my material. This study was written and recorded by Dr. F. Dean Hackett (aka: my dad) .

This Bible study is a video-based Bible study that comes with a free workbook and access to his Facebook group for further discussion.
