  1. I absolutely LOVE this post. Last year, my son was sick, and I made myself sick with worry. I wish I had this post back then. My favorite is #3. It takes work to stay at peace when everything is falling apart. Thanks so much for writing this. I will be sharing it!

    1. Yes it does take work. You know, it’s a lesson we must learn over and over and over.

  2. I love this. Admitting that you’re not in control is the hardest part. These are great tips (and so true, especially at this time of year).

  3. Oh, this is so great! And so true! I often feel out of control and, you’re right, I run straight to a task or a job that I need to do. Something in me just craves the outcome of success. But there are times when I’ve felt overwhelmed and have run to Jesus instead. The outcome there is even sweeter. 🙂 I found you via Coffee & Conversation!

I’d love for you to share this post – or others – with us at a fairly new linkup called 100 Happy Days. Here’s the link if you’re interested. http://lifeofscoop.com/100-happy-days-week-9/

    Merry Christmas! 🙂

    1. Thank you, Alison! And thank you for the invite. I’ve been on medical leave and holiday vacation. I’ll link up this week.

  4. This was so good, Rosilind. You are right – often when we need to turn to Jesus, we turn to numbing behaviors. I think it is our body’s naturally protective reflex. But pressing in and feeling those emotions with Jesus is what heals us! Merry Christmas and I hope you are feeling much better and recovering quickly!!!

    1. “But pressing in and feeling those emotions with Jesus is what heals us!” – LOVE THAT!

  5. Thank you so very much for your less-stress series. Almost twwo weeks ago I came down with double pneumona. Spent time in the hospital and did not get out until yeaterday December24th. Praying to God and knowing that He and the doctores were in control kept me halfway sane. I am still on full time oxygen but I need to see & accept that God has & is my ultimelt ally and friend. Reading your series before getting sick and then the last one when I got up Christmas Morning helped me so much I can’t say but thank you. Please your family have a Mery Christmas and Keep doing what you do because you must be helping others just as you are helping me.

    1. Barbara – your comment meant so much to me! You have no idea. Sometimes we wonder if what we write really reaches people where they are at, and your comment confirmed for me that it was the Lord who spoke to me to write this series in December. I am praying for you, too. I pray you are doing better now.

Sometimes Rosalind, I feel like our Father is speaking directly to me through you!!
I am so happy that I have found your blog!!

    1. Wow, Christine. I praise God for that. I am grateful and honored to be His vessel.
