David Wilkerson’s Prophetic Message to the Church
I hope you love the products and resources I recommend here at A Little R & R. Just so you know, it is possible that I get a commission and collect income from the links on this page. Click here for more info.
What do you think of when you hear the word prophetic?
Do you think of the Old Testament prophets, warning the children of Israel of the impending judgement of God?
Maybe you think of the 5-fold ministry of the church: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher?
Perhaps the word brings to mind the more extreme wing of Charismatics and the New Apostolic Reformation and School of the Prophets.
There is a small handful of Christian ministers whom I listen to in my spare time for encouragement and deeper biblical instruction.
One of those is David Wilkerson.
He is one of whom Hebrews 13:7 says, “…who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct.”
In the message below David Wilkerson delivered to his church Times Square Church, he enumerates the dangers of the seeker sensitive movement that has led to enormous mega churches that more resemble corporations than churches.
I have tried to find a date for this message, but thus far have been unsuccessful.
Considering he passed away in April of 2011, it would be reasonable to assume that he preached this message sometime in 2010 or before.
However, the message in his sermon is so relevant and so appropriate for today, that it could have easily been delivered yesterday and seem current to the times.
I encourage you to take some time this weekend to listen to Last Days Deception and let God speak to your heart.
