Have you seen those incredible Bible Journalers out there with their amazing colorful Bibles?
If you’re like me, you have a hard time getting a stick figure to resemble a stick figure. My mom has an incredible talent when it comes to drawing.
Me? I take a little after my dad in that department.
We’re highly creative, just not in drawing.
And I’ll be honest, as much as I write in my Bible, I’ve never dared to actually draw, because… well, I just don’t draw.
That is until I tried out this Doodle Journal from Stone Soup for Five.

First of all, I love that she actually gives you doodle icons to use, as ideas for what you can draw.
Second of all, I love that they are simple for people like me who….umm…don’t draw very well! I like simple!

Doodling is a very good way to help you retain what you’ve read.
Not only that, but by taking the time to slow down and digest God’s Word slowly, with colored pencils in hand to doodle or letter through the Bible, you’re allowing what you’ve read to sink in.
It’s so easy to skim through chapters and books of the Bible, just skimming the top without ever really getting deep into it to think about what we’ve read really means to us…personally.

This is so cool. I do illustrate scripture cards now and then. This sounds like a meaningful style of Bible Study.
