Before you embark on this journey, please consult with your physician.

One of the topics I’ve written a lot about (perhaps even more than most other topics) is anxiety.

There is a reason.

For many years, anxiety crippled me in my day-to-day life; even to the point where I couldn’t function as a person.

I’d get locked in a tunnel of anxiety that prevented me from focusing on anything else around me.

I knew it was wrong.

I knew it was a sin because the Word of God commands us to be anxious for nothing.

But, I was helpless against the flood of fear, worried thoughts, racing heart, and waves of dread that flooded me.

I have come to realize that the only way to resolve anxiety is through God’s Word.

Over the course of many years, I had developed poor thinking patterns.

My thinking would automatically default to victimization and worst-case scenarios.

This is where I would tunnel, and even when those around me were calm and assured that everything would work out just fine, I was a mess, tunneled in anxiety that suffocated me.

But I found freedom!

Freedom was found in one place: Meditating on God’s Word.

This practice transformed my poor thinking patterns, recreating them to come into agreement with God’s Word.

This is not to say the enemy doesn’t try to drag me back to that dark place.

He does it all the time.

But with consistently meditating on God’s Word, I have found that I am stronger and stronger in this area and am able to calm my mind and emotions and find a place of peace and tranquility in Christ.
