  1. I was literally just asking myself a very similar question to the “why me” then I saw this post. Thank you for the very timely reminder!

  2. Thanks for the reminder. I have always asked “why me”. You post answered some questions.

  3. Stealing my desire for church – never looked at it that way before. Satan has done that for a long time now and now that I have surrendered to the Lord, this is the year that I’m fighting back to get back into church through prayer – lots of prayer. Thanks for the party today. Have a great day.

  4. I loved how you tied in the armour of God in Ephesians. I have ‘Fervent’ and need to read it. I bought it because that was my ‘word’ last year and I am not finished with it. Ever. I started the book but have too many books on the pile.

Thanks for the awesome linkup sweet friend!!

  5. I just started a women’s Bible study last Saturday where we are working through the book Fervent. We are in for an adventure I know! I want nothing more than to keep this passion strong for Him and it is certainly a battle.
    Blessings to you,
    Patti

  6. Oh, I needed this so much today, Rosilind! Thank you! I am in a personal war, but it’s not flesh and blood, and I needed this reminder to get the spiritual armor on today! Blessings!

  7. I’m in a situation right now that could be interpreted wrongly to think God’s against me.
It’s amazing how choosing to trust can change my perspective.
I know God’s for me. We’ll come through this.

  8. Rosilind, I like how you point out how we need to remember who the enemy is. Naomi also thought God was against her. Pain gives our enemy an opportunity to slander God in our minds. Thanks for sharing and hosting!

  9. Well said Rosilind. Thank you for the reminder that God is for us. Yes, the enemy is real, but God is greater. What an encouraging post to start off the day!

  10. Rosilind, I have had prayer on my heart for some time now, and now that the major holidays are over I feel like I can finally focus in on what that calling is telling me. I read your post and ordered the book Fervent this morning! Thanks for introducing me to it…and for hosting. 🙂

  11. This is a great post! I have thought about having a prayer book to do answered prayers, I started thinking about it after i watched War Room. If you haven’t seen War Room it’s a great movie that I highly recommend. I love it.
Also, thanks for the party! I have linked up a few times and have enjoyed reading a lot posts.

  12. Rosilind, this is so good! We often fall in the trap of saying “Why me?’ instead of asking God, “What next?” I love your reference to the armor of God. That is one of my favorite passages. Thanks for sharing. I’m happy to be linking up with you today for A Little R&R.

  13. Hi Rosilind,
I’m so glad you are back and healthy!

I loved everything about today’s post! So many people are raving about her new book. I need to be sure to put it on my read-list!

    Blessings and smiles,
    Lori

  14. I really enjoyed this post… concluding a Sunday School study of Ephesians soon and am really looking forward to discussing the full armor of God with my brothers and sisters. Wil have to reference you soldiers vs. prisoners of war mantra! Also, thanks for mentioning the prayer journal. This idea was recently proposed to me and it sounds like a wonderful way to see how God nurtures and grows us over time in addition to the many answered prayers that come. Blessings!

  15. This is such an important message! I especially love how you point out that our two weapons of offense are the Bible and prayer. Such a great reminder! Thanks for sharing with us at 100 Happy Days!

  16. Love this Post! I am currently reading The Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer and Can’t wait to start Fervent! We always have to remember, the devil is out to destroy us! But, with our God, We can always overcome anything! Thank you for the inspiration today!

    1. Oh – I want that! Fervent is such an amazing book – very life changing.
