At one time or another, we’ve all struggled with feelings of inadequacy and insecurity.

Maybe you’re in that place right now.

Perhaps you feel like you don’t measure up to the ideal standard of a woman.

Of a wife.

Of a mother.

Of a Christian.

Can I tell you a secret?

You’re not alone. None of us ever measure up to the ideal standard.

Even that gorgeous woman on the cover of the magazine who looks like she’s a perfect size 0 with no cellulite or sun spots…

Who claims that she can hold down a corporate job and raise two kids on their way to an Ivy League school…

All while juggling a Pinterest-worthy home, serving on the PTA, bringing perfect homemade cupcakes to the bake sale, and volunteering for charity functions.

That woman does not exist.

The media has fed into our insecurities by creating an impossible ideal standard to keep us consuming their advice for how to attain this standard.

But we have to ask ourselves, is this God’s standard?

10 Bible Verses to Defeat Insecurity

Dear sister, let me tell you a truth that will dismantle the media’s lie of the ideal standard.

God’s standard doesn’t feed into our insecurities.

It doesn’t manipulate us into trying to achieve the unachievable.

God’s standard is love, mercy, and grace. God gives us His standard, and then He gives us His power to achieve and live at that standard.

God doesn’t want us bound to our insecurities.

He wants us set free to live in the power of the new identity He gave us when He made us a new creation in Jesus Christ!

Here are 10 verses that will dismantle insecurity once and for all.

Philippians 4:13 (NKJV): I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV): Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

1 Peter 5:7 (NKJV): casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Zephaniah 3:17 (NKJV): The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.

Proverbs 3:26 (NKJV): For the Lord will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught.

Isaiah 43:1 (NKJV): But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.”
