Over the past several years, it seems Thanksgiving has been swallowed up by Christmas.
For retail, the holiday season begins with Halloween, almost skips right past Thanksgiving, and goes right to Christmas.
Thanksgiving is given a small section, that is also considered autumn decore.
In my home, I purpose to keep Thanksgiving in November, saving my decorating and Christmas celebration for December because I believe that Thanksgiving is a great way to prepare our hearts for celebrating Jesus’ birth.
The Bible has so much to say about gratefulness and thanksgiving.
If there was a time when thanksgiving is needed, it is now when so many families are feeling the affects of the economic crisis the whole world is facing right now.
It would be very easy to allow anger and frustration turn to covetousness, greed, and envy.
The remedy for these negative feelings in our heart is the power of God’s word to eradicate them and remind us that our provision doesn’t come from things of this world.
Our provision comes from an unlimited resource! Jehovah Jireh. Therefore we have no reason to fear.
No matter how bad the economy gets, no matter how bare the grocery store shelves are, no matter, how high the price of gas climbs, God is our resource. He will provide for every need we have!
