  1. Hi Rosilind, I love reading through the book of Mark and I’ll be reading ch. 10 today. Also I just finished a month’s worth of guitar lessons and I think that’s a great idea to sing out a scripture and it must have been really nice to have grown up with an uncle like that. Yes, sometimes we forget who we are in Christ and try to find our happiness through worldly pleasures and events, but it never lasts very long, so yes, godliness with contentment is great gain. 🙂

    1. It was amazing to grow up with that influence. I come from a highly creative family so my dad and siblings often wrote music as well. It was amazing!!

I just read this. You have no idea how much I needed this. My cool car is in the shop so I have to drive a ‘hoopty’ until its fixed. I had no idea how I found my identity in my ‘cool’ car. Now I’m just thankful to have some wheels to get me around lol.

    1. Isn’t it crazy what things we feel give us identity? I’ve learned this so much from my dad….a guy who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks but managed to earn a Ph.D…..who is as comfortable in an old beater as he is in a luxury car…who can live in a townhouse rental that smells like old tobacco as well as a nice house in suburbia. I am not there yet, but I am learning to be.
